How can we help?

General

What is Pagr?
Pagr is an AI-powered document generation tool. You build a reusable template — describe it in plain language and the AI creates it, or start from a ready-made example — then render it with your data to produce finished PDFs, as many times as you need.
What document types does Pagr support?
Pagr is built for structured, repeatable documents — invoices, contracts, forms, reports, letters, certificates and the like. You design each one as a template, then render it with different data. The app also ships with ready-made examples to start from.
What languages does Pagr support?
A single Pagr template can render in multiple languages. Add translated text on the Translations tab of the template editor, then pick the language when you render — the same template produces the same document in each language. The Pagr workspace interface itself is available in English and Dutch.

Signing in

How do I log in?
Go to pagr.eu and click Sign In. Enter your email address first, then your password on the next screen. Logging in for the first time? Use the temporary password Pagr emailed you when you signed up — you will be asked to replace it with your own. See Create an account.
How do I reset my Pagr password?
Reset your Pagr password from the login screen at pagr.eu. Enter your email address, click Forgot Password? on the password screen, then click Submit — Pagr emails you a link to set a new password. Step-by-step instructions with screenshots are in Password reset.
Why am I not receiving emails from Pagr?
Pagr sends sign-up, temporary-password and password-reset emails from noreply@pagr.eu. If one has not arrived: check your spam or junk folder, add that address to your contacts, confirm you used the right email address and can reach that inbox, and allow a few minutes for delivery. If nothing arrives after that, see Troubleshooting or email support@pagr.eu.

Account & billing

How do I create an account?
Go to pagr.eu and click Start free. Sign up with your work email — Pagr emails you a temporary password, which you replace with your own the first time you log in. Full steps are in Create an account.
Is there a free plan?
Yes, Pagr has a free plan. It gives you a monthly allowance of pages, AI tokens and templates, alongside the paid Builder and Scaler plans which raise those limits. No payment method is needed to start. See the Pagr pricing page for what each plan includes, and track what you have used under Settings → Usage.
How does Pagr count pages?
Pagr meters output in pages, not in documents: a render that produces a five-page PDF costs five page credits. Only production renders are charged. Test renders are watermarked, free and unlimited, so you can iterate as much as you like while designing, and previewing or using the AI Assistant never costs pages. Your allowance is added once per billing period and drawn down per render — see How pages are counted for the full rules and the activity ledger.
What are AI tokens in Pagr, and what uses them?
AI tokens are how Pagr meters your use of the AI Assistant: generating a template from a description, asking for a change, or analysing a document you upload. Rendering never uses tokens — that draws on your page allowance instead — and editing a template by hand costs nothing. The cost of a single request scales with the size of your template rather than the length of your message, so the same instruction is far dearer on a large template than a small one. See How AI tokens are counted.
Can I buy extra pages or AI tokens in Pagr?
Yes. In Pagr, go to Settings → Usage and click + Buy extra credits, then choose a bundle of pages, AI tokens, or both — the panel shows the unit price and the total before you confirm. Because this is a real purchase, billing details are required even on the free plan. Buying extra is a one-off top-up; if you need more every month, upgrading your plan is usually cheaper. See Buy extra credits.
Do extra credits expire at the end of the month?
No. Extra credits you buy in Pagr never expire. They are held separately from your subscription and roll over indefinitely, so whatever you do not use, you keep. Only your monthly plan allowance resets at the start of each billing period.
How long does Pagr keep my rendered documents?
For as long as your organisation retention period allows. In Pagr you set PDF retention and Render data retention, in days, under Settings → General — and the highest value you can choose is capped by the Max retention your plan permits, shown on the Current plan card under Billing. Leave a field empty for no limit. Deletion is permanent and raising the value afterwards does not bring expired documents back, so download anything you need to keep long term.

Templates & documents

Do I need to write code to use Pagr?
No. You can build, render and publish a complete Pagr template without writing any code. The editor opens in Canvas, where you describe what you want in plain language and the AI builds it, and you can point straight at any element in the preview to change its text, typography, spacing, alignment or conditional visibility through a form. Studio additionally exposes the template as JSON for people who would rather work in code, but nothing requires it. See Studio and Canvas and Edit from the preview.
Can I import an existing document into Pagr?
Yes, in two ways. From file uploads an existing PDF, image or Stimulsoft .mrt file (up to 10 MB) and has Pagr rebuild it as an editable template — see Generate a template from a file. From example starts you from one of the ready-made templates Pagr ships with, complete with sample data already filled in and at no AI token cost — see Start from an example. Either way the result is a normal template you can edit freely.
Can I change what the Pagr AI generates?
Yes. Nothing the AI produces is final. Refine any Pagr template with the AI Assistant using plain-language follow-up prompts, edit individual elements from the preview, or change the definition by hand — and iterate safely on draft versions before you publish. Every assistant reply has its own Undo, so a single change can be reverted without losing the rest.
What file format does Pagr produce?
Pagr renders templates as PDF documents. Every render is saved under Output → Renders, where you can open or download it, and the list records the version, environment, language, file size and page count of each one.
Where are my templates and documents stored?
Your templates live in your workspace and are versioned, so you can keep drafts while you work and publish when ready. Finished documents are saved under Output → Renders for as long as your retention settings keep them. Note the difference: Projects organise your templates, while rendered documents live under Renders.

Privacy & security

Is my data used to train the AI?
No. The documents and prompts you send to Pagr are not used to train any AI models. See the Pagr privacy policy for details.
