Buy extra credits

If you run out of pages or AI tokens before your period resets, you don’t have to upgrade your plan to keep working. Buy extra credits adds to your current balance as a one-off purchase.

Buy extra credits Upgrade plan
Effect A one-off top-up you keep until you use it Higher allowance every period
Expires? No — carries over indefinitely The monthly allowance resets each period
Best for An unusually busy month Consistently needing more

If you’re topping up every month, upgrading is almost always cheaper.

  1. Go to Settings → Usage.

  2. Click + Buy extra credits at the top right. A panel opens on the right.

  3. Choose a Number of pages0, 100, 250, 500, 1,000, 5,000, or 10,000.

  4. Choose an amount of AI tokens0M, 1M, 5M, 10M, 25M, or 50M.

  5. Check the total, shown live under the two dropdowns with its breakdown — for example 100 pages × € 0.0200 + 1M tokens × € 8.00 for a total of € 10.00.

  6. Click Buy page credits to confirm, or Close to back out.

You can buy pages only, tokens only, or both in one purchase — leave the other dropdown on 0.

Extra credits are a real purchase, so Pagr needs billing details even if you’re on the Free plan — a free plan has no payment method on file by default. If you haven’t set one up, add it first under Settings → Billing → Plan & payment via Add billing info or the pencil icon.

The Edit billing info panel asks for a Company name, VAT number, Contact email, and address. Two shortcuts save time:

  • Use organisation info fills the form from the details you already entered under General settings.
  • Leaving Contact email blank sends invoices to your account’s email address instead.

The purchase then appears in your invoice history on the Invoices tab under Billing.

The Billing page with an empty Payment card and the Edit billing info panel open, showing the company name, VAT number, contact email, and address fields

Purchased credits are available immediately and show up as an entry in the relevant Activity ledger under Settings → Usage → Activity. From there the balance behaves exactly as before — production renders draw pages down, AI requests draw tokens down.

The difference from your monthly allowance is what happens at the reset date: your subscription allowance is renewed for the new period, while your purchased credits are simply left alone. They’re tracked separately from the subscription, so they roll over month after month until you spend them.
